It turns out that the book Atlas Shrugged was not about musclemen building massive traps doing a secret workout. Pity. It would have been a great read. In it men take on a similar creed as they strive to create their ideal society. It struck me as being true for those Denizens of the Glorious House of Gains that I have spent my adult life around.
I turned it into my Credo for training because it is so much more a principle of reality than some idealized ethos. I bring a quarter century of experience as a trainer, three decades experience as an athlete, and a lifetime of trying to be the best man I can be into your training program...

The human machine is the only man made machine that breaks down faster if you don't use it than if you do. You must train your body consistently, intelligently and with intensity to get results.
Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity-JFK. Your attitude determines your altitude.
While working the machine like it is a machine sounds cool, you don't actually grow in the gym. You grow while you rest. You grow while you sleep. Recovery is more important to results than intensity.
No matter how great a program and no matter how much you sweat. You can never out work a bad diet. Rockets don't run on unleaded so don't put junk fuel in your Ferrari.
